CLEAN & CARE

             HOW TO CLEAN
       YOUR BRASS JEWELLERY ?

All brass will tarnish over time.
Maybe you like the old "vintage-ish" look and would like to keep it that way,
but
if you prefer to bring back the orginal patina
that makes your brass jewellery shine
like gold, it is an easy and quick
fix.
And the best thing is that you can
do- it- yourself

For the chains
or when you would like to do just a simple
cleaning of you brass jewellery
 you can make a
simple mixture of:

 water, salt and lemon juice:

1 cup of water
1 Teaspoon of salt
1/2 Lemon

 1. Pour the water into a plastic or
glass container
2. Squeeze the lemon into the water
3. Add the salt and stir until dissolved.
4. Place your brass item(s) and let it sit until
it has reached the desired patina look.
5. Dry

On the Yuvani Earrings
we used regular Brass polish from
 the grocery store.
Add a small amount on a cloth
(we been using worn out cotton T-shirts as cloths
and that works perfectly)

We cleaned the chains of the Usha Earrings
 in
the water,salt & lemon mixture
and then we used regualar brass polish,
on the "solid" parts.

So it all comes down to which look
you prefer? Dark & matt patina or
the more shiny & golden patina?

There are plenty of methods and different mixtures that can be used for cleaning & polishing brass.
If you have any tips or special tricks
you are most welcome to share them with us.

When it comes to how you can care for
your oxidized brass we will share our guidelines with you very soon.

P.S.

Store your brass jewellery in a box or a ziplock-bag to prevent tarnishing.
